What happens when your home is in a small town where there are no Chinese BBQ house?

If you get a craving for duck, you roast your own. Fortunately it’s more simple than you may think.

So let me show how quick and easy it is.. .


A 5lb Duck

1/3 cup of Bean curd (you can see this brand has big cubes)

7 cloves of peeled garlic

7 Green onion tips

2 ½ Tbsps Black Bean Sauce

½ Tbsp Five spice seasonings

2 Small bamboo skewers

For Seasoning:

½ Tbsp sea salt

1 tsp Ground Black Pepper

1 Tbsp granulated garlic

3 Tbsps brown sugar

The Glaze mixture uses:

1 Tbsp Premium Dark Soy

1 Tbsp of Balsamic Vinegar

    Can I ask what type of bean curd you use? Is it fermented?

      Yes it’s fermented and the brand i used is “Liu Na Zai Kee Bean Curd in Brine.” I hope that helps.
