Grilled banana in sticky rice with a savory coconut sauce – Chuoi nep nuong nuoc cot dua – Another childhood favorite of mine. The aroma of charred banana leaf infused into the sticky rice is amazing.

List of Ingredients:
8 Thai Bananas (if you don’t have fresh ones available
.. canned ones would work as well)
8 2 inch wide banana strips
8 4 x 6.5 inch banana leaves (cleaned and wiped dry)

1 Cup Coconut cream
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 Tbsp corn starch
¾ Cup Water
½ tsp salt

2 Cups of Sweet Rice
½ cup Coconut cream
¼ tsp salt
1-2 Tbsps sugar (optional)
