Seasoned roast marrow bones!!!! Here’s one that dad always wanted me to try when I was a kid and I said “ewww no thanks!” Back then in Saigon, we could only afford the bones. Now, it’s a gourmet treat with prices to match. Get this – new research has found the marrow has a special kind of fat (adiponectin) which has multiple health benefits, including reducing the risks of diabetes. So dad knows best! I cooked these in my favorite Victoriacookware cast iron Dutch oven. So easy… so tasty!
List of Ingredients:
3 Tbsps Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tsp Coarse Sea Salt (I’m using Charcoal infused for that extra aroma,
but regular coarse sea salt would work as well)
1 tsp Granulated Garlic
3 Tbsps Minced Garlic
1 tsp Dried Red Chili Flakes (Optional)
1 tsp Dried Onion Flakes
½ tsp Oregano
½ tsp Dried Basil leaves
1 tsp Slightly Crushed Whole Tellicherry Peppercorn
3 lbs of Beef Marrow Bones.
Victoria Cast Iron Dutch Oven.
Enjoy!
