For as long as I could remember, this was such a treat in the early morning when I was a child – Getting a crispy Chinese long donut to dip in a small bowl of condensed milk. It’s that slightly salty, warm fried bread stick dunked into thick, sweetened condensed milk that makes my stomach growl. (LOL) I’ve been tinkering with this recipe and what I learned on my recent trip to Thailand, allowed me to make this bread fluffy. And oh, it is so good. Check out the video below and see how simple it actually is to make. Enjoy!

¾ Cup Cold Water
¾ Cup of Boiling Hot Water
2 tsps of Active Yeast
3 Tbsps Sugar.
Dough:
3 cups of All-purpose flour,
2 tsps salt

You can pre-make these and place in a Ziploc freezer bag for later. If you sealed them well, they can be stored up to 1 month. Just pop them in a toaster oven directly from the freezer to reheat.
